Are you feeling worn out and overwhelmed (do we even need to ask)?
Join Margaret Marcuson for a two-part mini-retreat (via Zoom).
This two-part mini-retreat will give you time to reflect on what’s going on around you and inside you, and what you want for the next 90 days. And you’ll have the chance to think about what you want to do as you move toward the end of this program year, with all you know and don’t know about what you will face in the next few months and this year.
It’s an opportunity for you to think through how you want to be and do–not simply what others want you to do. And it’s a chance to take the time to plan your work for the next 90 days. Why 90 days? Focusing on just three months really helps. It’s a way to think about “what’s next.” There’s hard work ahead, but thinking about the whole year in a block can make you freeze up.
You’ll be set up to work with more thoughtfulness and intention and less overwhelm through these next few months.
- Get positive input from others.
- Clarify where you are and what you need to do next (and what you need NOT do).
- Discern what you want most now (including rest) and how to get it –then make a plan that works for you.
- Feel more spacious each and every day.
Will you do everything you plan for the next 90 days? Of course not. But when these next three months are behind you, you are more likely to be satisfied with how you’ve spent them, not only professionally but also personally.
What to do now to finish spring and glance toward fall (and still make space for rest)
Two half days, Tuesday, April 26 and Tuesday, May 3 (via Zoom)
Here’s what one past participant said:
“This was my second time investing in the What to Do Now Retreat and I find it very helpful to look at the next 90 days. The questions and process Margaret leads us through is insightful and practical.
I feel much less burdened by nebulous thoughts about “what I should be doing.” I also feel clearer on my purpose. I learned that everything I think is my calling and work to do, isn’t necessarily so. Previously, I was thinking I needed to plan one year at a time, but also had a tendency to look too far ahead. It’s helpful to be led through a process of thinking in terms of what is my mission, purpose, goals, but only for the next 90 days.
The retreat is a tremendously helpful process in gaining clarity on my mission and purpose for a specific time frame. It is also encouraging to be with other ministry colleagues. Now that I have done two I look forward to them.”
