Courage: two quotes

Here are a couple of quotes on courage I’ve been thinking about this week. They come from The Thing You Think You Cannot Do: Thirty Truths about Fear and Courage, by Gordon Livingston, M.D.

“We are more often frightened than hurt, and we suffer more from imagination than from reality.” Seneca the Elder

“Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious.” Rumi

What do you think?

I love quotes that remind me that life is a lot more simple than we make it.Just go out and live, right?

Another great quote, Sean. Thanks for sharing it. I’ll add that to my list.

    LOVE the Rumi quote!

I recently was given a plaque with a similar quote from Mark Twain — “WHy not go out on a limb? That’s where all the fruit is!”
